Mary Louise Motta passed away on Sunday November 10, 2024 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. She was 82 years old.

Born on November 9, 1942 to the late Robert and Louise Lunsden in Newark she had been a resident of the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for the last 51 years.

Mary served as a bookkeeper for Adler Roof Vac Service and Empire Supplies.

She was a communicant of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel where she was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society and served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Bingo Caller. She liked going on trips to the Wind Creek, Parks and Caesars casinos and was an avid bowler.  Mary was also a huge Yankees, Devils and Red Skins fan.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth W. Motta who passed away in 2006.

Surviving Mary are her children Denise Motta McCarthy and her husband John of South Amboy, and Kenneth R. Motta and his wife Jeannie of Iselin; her siblings Carol Campbell and her husband Charles of Orlando Beach, Florida, and Robert Lunsden of Woodbridge; her grandchildren Zachary, Dakota, Meaghan, and Michael; her niece and nephew Patti and Brian Carino as well as other nieces and nephews.  She was also blessed to have an amazing group of friends.

A Funeral Liturgy will take place on Saturday November 16, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visitation for family and friends will take place at Saint Andrew's on Friday November 15, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home in Avenel.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mary's memory to Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital ( www.stjude.org ).
