Mrs. Mary Ann Theresa Mazzatta Marrone, age 92, of Colonia, NJ, passed away on May 25, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She was born and raised in Throop, PA. She married her late husband, Albert J. Marrone, in 1951 and they settled in Colonia in 1957. Mary worked for many years as a secretary for Pitney Bowes and a local accounting firm. She is also fondly remembered as the neighborhood's favorite Avon Lady.

Her love of family was immeasurable and she was never happier than when her family gathered for holidays, birthdays, weddings or a Sunday dinner. She also enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City, spending vacations with family and close friends, cooking, baking, gardening and singing and dancing whenever she could.

Mary is predeceased by her husband Albert J. Marrone, parents Frank and Susan Mazzatta, brother Eugene Mazzatta and sisters Marguerite Lordi and Rosella Conte.

Mary is survived by her daughter Deborah (Sam) Zerillo; son Alan (Marnie) Marrone; grandsons Daniel (Bianca) Cocco, George (Nia) Lawler, Christopher Marrone and Nicholas Marrone; great-granddaughters Sophia and Lily Cocco; sisters-in-law Patricia Mazzatta, Marie Christini and Lucy Marrone; brother-in-law Vincent Conte; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who were dear to her heart.

Services at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home in Woodbridge, NJ were held privately on Monday, June 1, 2020 followed by entombment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Cecelia Roman Catholic Church at a later date.
