Mary C. Coughlin passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 81 years old. Born in Lost Creek, PA, she resided in Avenel for many years. Mrs. Coughlin was employed as a clerk with Supermarkets General in Avenel for 20 years before retiring in 2002; and was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Coughlin, in 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Byington of Iselin and Eileen Creenan of Colonia; and three grandchildren, Kerry, Kelly and Ryan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge.
