Mary Cassese passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. She was 94 years old.

Born on September 7, 1927 in Roselle, she has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for 60 years.

Mrs. Cassese was employed by G & W Laboratories in Port Reading and Niki Trading Company in Rahway before retiring in 1987; and was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raphael A. Cassese, in 2016; and brothers, John and Gerald Wasyluk.

Surviving are her children, Patricia Cassese of Monroe Township, Ralph Cassese and his wife, Maureen, of Port Orchard, WA and Michael Cassese and his wife, Kimberly, of Scottsdale, AZ; sister, Pauline Martin, of Linden; grandchildren, David Drinnan and his wife, Anna, of Old Bridge, Nicole Cassese and her husband, Mike, of Los Angeles, CA and Brittany Nichols and her husband, Grant, of Mesa, AZ; and great grandchildren, Mila and Avery.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) in Mrs. Cassese's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
