Marie-Madeleine Greffer passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 96 years old.

Born in Lyon, France, she has resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township for many years.

Mrs. Greffer was employed as a salesperson with the Abraham and Strauss Department store in Woodbridge.

She was predeceased by her husband, Louis S. Greffer, in 2005; parents, Irenee and Catherine Chappet; and son in law, Phil Piereth.

Surviving are her daughters, Christiane Piereth of Edison and Chantal Greffer and her husband, Don Roder, of Woodbridge.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Parish, 625 Florida Grove Road, Hopelawn. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Fords. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
