Marie M. Demoreski of the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was 93 years old.
Born in Perth Amboy; She resided in Sewaren since 1954.
Mrs. Demoreski was employed at Woodbridge Deli for many years.
She was a Communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge.
Marie was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many. She will always be remembered for attending the children's and grandchildren's school and sports events. She loved her chocolate and her daily trips to Shop-Rite She was so much to many people and always left a lasting impression. Her strong will and determination was amazing. Biscuit, her toy Chihuahua was her constant companion and best friend. Often wherever you saw her daughter Debbie you saw Marie. She lovingly referred to her grandson Nick as "Walks on water" Since he was there in a heartbeat whenever or wherever she needed.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Demoreski who passed away in 1993; her parents Joseph and Mary Toth Andrascik; and her brothers Joseph Andrascik and Francis Andrascik.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Murawski and her husband Steven of Myrtle Beach, SC and Debra LaTour of Woodbridge; a son Mark Demoreski and his wife Cathy of Niceville, Florida; a brother Ernest Andrascik of Woodbridge; seven grandchildren Nicholas Murawski, Matthew Demoreski, Amanda Murawski, Melissa Kearley, Alyssa Vitello, Haylee LaTour, and Raymond LaTour; seven great-grandchildren Cole, Ariana, Maylin, Kendall, Maddax, Brooks, and Isla.
Funeral services will take place Friday, November 10, 2023 9:45 am from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy will follow at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge.
Visiting hours will Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
