Margaret Solowski passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 92 years old.

Born on June 28, 1934 in Woodbridge to the late Margaret (nee Pastor) and Michael Kish, she resided there before moving to the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township in 1966.

Mrs. Solowski was employed as a sales person with Stern’s Department Store, later Macy’s, at the Woodbridge Center shopping mall for many years prior to her retirement.

Margaret's proudest achievement and greatest joy in life was raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and enjoyed playing bingo, the beach and trips to Atlantic City.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Solowski, in 1993; son, Jeffrey Solowski, in 2024; daughter in law, Colleen Solowski, in 2024; and son in law, Arthur “Skip” Frank, in 2020.

Surviving are her loving children, Donna Frank of South Carolina and Michael Solowski and his wife, Bonnie, of Brick; sister, Helen Bonner, of Carteret; grandchildren, Christian, Craig and his wife, Christina, Kyle, Maryanna, Jessica and Matthew and his wife, Maddie; and great granddaughters, Brooke, Madison, Sadie, Sophia and Max.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Mrs. Solowski’s memory would be greatly appreciated by her loved ones.
