Margaret M Ruffino passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.  She was 91 years old.

Born in Avenel, she resided in Fords before moving to Edison.

She was employed as an admitting clerk at JFK Medical Center in Edison for 24 years before retiring in 1996.

Mrs. Ruffino was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and belonged to Good Shepherd Seniors Citizens Club in Hopelawn.

She was predeceased by her son, Anthony Ruffino, in 1995; son-in-law, Dale Springer, in 2009; sister, Dorothy Johnson; brother, James J Crowley; and her longtime companion, Dominick LaPenta, in 2021.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn Springer, of Edison; grandson, Anthony Ruffino; and her child of the heart, Sherry Zigre.

A prayer service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
