Margaret "Peggy" La Rose passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at her home in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township. She was 84 years old. Born in Hazelton, PA, she resided in Elizabeth before moving to Sewaren in 1957. Mrs. La Rose was employed as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring in 1990. She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and was a former member of the Port Reading Senior Citizens Club. Mrs. La Rose was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. La Rose, in 2006. Surviving are two daughters, Michele Novello of Woodbridge and Debbie Buongiovanni and her husband, Rick, of Iselin; three sisters, Dorothy Sundra of Hazelton, PA, Marie Koval of Avenel and Terry Kapes of Sayreville; and four grandchildren, Lindsey and Dara Novello and Adam and Nicholas Buongiovanni. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
