Margaret Dwyer Pannone passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Saint Joseph's Care Center in Woodbridge. She was 93 years old.

She was born in Newark where she attended East Side High School and resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township from 1951 until 1994 and in Manchester from 1994 until moving to Fords in 2016.

Mrs. Pannone served with the Woodbridge Township Welfare Department from 1962 until retiring as director in 1986; and was a member of the Iselin Library Board, a founder of the Evergreen Senior Center in Colonia and Salvation Army Welfare Secretary for 20 years.

She was a communicant of Saint John's Catholic Church in Manchester; and belonged to the Columbiettes there. Also in Manchester she belonged to the Irish American Club, the Italian American Club, the Footlighters, the Book Discussion Club and was active with Helping Hands.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Antony Pannone, in 2005; and a daughter, Janet Petrow in 2008.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Russo and her husband, Alfred, of Port Reading and Lorraine Casabianca and her husband, Anthony, of Fords; sister, Regina Lepore, of Chatham; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and was awaiting the arrival of her first great great grandchild.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.
