Margaret Elek passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 101 years old. Born in Roston, NY she was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. Miss Elek was employed as an inspector with Hyatt Roller Bearing Company in Clark for 30 years until retiring in 1974. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Woodbridge. Miss Elek was predeceased by a sister, Julia Krisak; and five brothers, James Westfall and Joseph, Alexander, John and Louis Elek. Surviving are a sister, Helen Elek, of Woodbridge; four nieces, Margaret Loder, Geraldine Fee, Julianne Westfall and Leta Jacobson; five nephews, James, Richard, Robert, John and Jeffrey Elek; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Woodbridge, 539 Barron Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
