Marcus Belmonte peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the age of 67. He departed this life as he had lived it, surrounded by the loving presence of his cherished family and friends.

Marcus is survived by his wife of 40 years, Emma, whose bond with him was a testament to enduring love and devotion. He was a doting father to his two daughters, Mariel (and her husband Tim) and Elaine (and her husband Seva). His two grandchildren, Lily and Max, were the light of his life, bringing him great joy and pride. He was also a beloved father figure to his many nieces and nephews. His family was his world, with a special place in his heart reserved for Emma, the love of his life.

Marcus was born in the Philippines to the late Edilberto and Amelia. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers Rosie, Rodolfo, Edilberto Jr., Margot, Danny, and Eudez.

He was a devoted Catholic, a Lector and Eucharistic Minister of St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Avenel, and a Catechist, Lector and Eucharistic Minister of Divine Mercy Parish in Rahway.

Celebrated for his exceptional cooking and limitless generosity, time with Marcus was always filled with laughter, delicious meals, and the occasional card game. His gatherings were legendary. Without him, get-togethers will never be the same, but his spirit and the cherished memories he created will live on with his loved ones.

Family and friends are invited to Marcus' Funeral mass, taking place on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, North Madison Avenue, Avenel. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery.

Viewing hours will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024 and Friday, June 14, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
