Madelon M. Kuchie, 82, of Woodbridge, passed away Sunday, June 2nd 2024 at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Woodbridge to the late Frank and Mary S. Szalaji Kuchie and had lived her whole life as a resident of Woodbridge. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in the class of 1960 and continued on to nursing school to pursue her dream of becoming a Nurse LPN. She worked at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ for 40 years before she retired.
Although Madelon never married or had children of her own she helped to raise and take care of many children over the years. She looked after her nieces and nephews whenever she was needed. She also cared for her elderly relatives until their passing.
She was kind, loving, and generous. She was often on the go and always busy lending a hand to whomever needed her. She was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of the St. James Parish in Woodbridge. She was an amazing Hungarian cook and loved to make meals for her family and friends. She loved all things Disney especially Pinocchio and the Pirates of the Caribbean. She loved parades especially the marching bands and would become the biggest kid clapping and marching along to the music with her great nieces and nephews. She was always up for an adventure and loved to travel. She adored Hawaii and loved a good luau. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Madelon is predeceased by her mother Mary S. Sazalji Kuchie and father Frank Kuchie, her aunt Madeline Gnewcenski, and her brother Edward F. Kuchie.
Madelon is Survived by her sister-in-law Linda A. Kuchie, two nephews Edward J. Kuchie and his wife Nicole of Hamilton, NJ and Michael D. Kuchie and his wife Kelly of Toms River, NJ and two nieces Lisa A. Conklin and her husband Gregory of Millstone Township, NJ and Jennifer H. Harrison and her husband Christopher of Manalapan, NJ. She is also survived by her nine great nieces and nephews: Isabelle, Kathryn, Liana, Olivia, Benjamin, Penelope, Joseph, Charlotte, and Emma.
Funeral Services will take place on Monday June 10,2024 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at St. James Catholic Church in Woodbridge at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will take place at the funeral home on Sunday June 9, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m.
