Luke J. Coyle, Jr. passed away at home in Woodbridge on Monday, July 16, 2018. He was 69 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, he was raised in Sewaren and was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Coyle was employed with Woodbridge Township for 23 years before retiring in 2014.

He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge, a member of the Iselin First Aid Squad and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He also participated in Woodbridge Townsip's Tooling Around the Town program.

Luke was predeceased by his parents, Julia and Luke J. Coyle, Sr.; and sister, Arlene McNichol.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Marianne Yanulis Coyle; children, Shannon Devine of Belle Mead and Luke A. Coyle of Carlsbad, CA; sister, Judith Fadden; brothers, Patrick, Dennis and Kenneth Coyle; and grandchildren, Brianna, John, Andrew, Luke and Sawyer.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.costello-koyen.com ), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wedndesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 at the funeral home.
