Lukas Sven Anderson passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 17 years old. Born in Edison, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. Lukas was a senior at Middlesex County Vo-Tech High School in Perth Amboy, majoring in computer assisted drafting. He was a member of the National Technical Honor Society and U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, NWS Earle Division; and was formerly active with the Woodbridge Township Junior Police Academy and Woodbridge Township Ambulance and Rescue Squad. Lukas belonged to Raritan Road Baptist Church in Cranford. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Stanley and Jane Stankewicz; and his paternal grandfather, Arnold Anderson. Surviving are his parents, Chris and Ann Marie Stankewicz Anderson, of Woodbridge; his sister, Kate V. Anderson, of Woodbridge; and his paternal grandmother, Genevieve Carson, of Toms River. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Entombment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
