Lucy Alfano passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island. She was 92 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Edison and Woodbridge before moving to Staten Island in 2009.

Mrs. Alfano was employed as a customer service represenative with Wells Fargo Bank in Piscataway for many years before retiring.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Alfano, in 2009; and parents, Charles and Mary Boracio Ventimiglia.

She is survived by her children, Anne Alfano-Schwacke and her husband, Fred, of Bonville, VT and Edward Alfano and his wife, Kim, of Staten Island; grandchildren, Melissa Alfano, Christopher Alfano and his wife, Ingrid, Eric Schwacke, and Spencer Schwacke .

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 13, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
