Louise M. Soweski passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 70 years old.

Born in Hoboken on August 23, 1952 to the late Marie and Michael Diamanti, she resided in Colonia before moving to Woodbridge 23 years ago.

Mrs. Soweski was employed with Ethicon, a division of Johnson and Johnson, in Somerville, as an administrative assistant before retiring in 2007.

An avid animal lover and self-taught master chef, she was very passionate about cooking and was proud to be published in the Gooseberry Patch Cookbook. She was always happy to share her culinary creations with family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Ron Soweski; sons, William Joseph Rawls of Clark and Michael Rawls of Sewaren; sisters, Debby Bitondo of Seaside Heights and Margaret Calvano of North Bergen; and grandchildren, Jake and Sydney.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the United Way ( www.unitedway.org ) in Mrs. Soweski's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
