Louise M. Hamilton passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset. She was 83 years old.

Born in Carteret on March 12, 1943 to the late Margaret (Arva) and Louis Filep, she resided in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township for many years before recently moving to Branchburg.

Mrs. Hamilton worked for many years as a secretary and realtor with Century 21 Real Estate in Woodbridge; and was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading.

Louise cherished her family and the time she spent with those she loved, especially her cherished grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Louis Filep.

She is survived by loving husband of 50 years, James Hamilton; children, Jamie Perry and her husband, Paul, of Bridgewater and Jimmy Hamilton and his wife, Shannon, of Piscataway; sister, Rose Filep, of Little Egg Harbor; and grandchildren, Jake, Max, Luke, Grayson and Kennedy.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
