Lorraine K. Sulek passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. She was 93 years old.

Born in Carteret on April 26, 1929 to the late John and Mary (Ogarek) Krissak, she lived in Carteret before moving to the Village of Rainbow Springs in Dunnellon, FL, then moved back to New Jersey in 1992 and lived in Jamesburg, Monroe Township, Sewaren and Iselin. Giving up owning homes, she moved to apartments in Iselin.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Sulek, on November 27, 1988.

Surviving are her daughters, Joan Zvoncheck, her husband, Thomas, of Florida, Claire Sieczkowski and her husband, Bruce, of Marlboro, Gail Novoczynski and her husband, Stanley, of Iselin; son, Richard Sulek, of North Brunswick; grandchildren, John Zvoncheck, Nicholas Novoczynski, Alexa Novoczynski,  Evan Sieczkowski, Krista Riley and her husband, Kevin, and Katerina Gallagher and her husband, Grayson; great granddaughter, Peyton Grace Riley; brothers, James Krissak and Thomas Krissak and his Husband, Samuel Johnson; godson, Jerry Ogarek; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Visiting hours will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.

The Funeral Liturgy will take place, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 10:30 am at St. James R.C. Church, Amboy Avenue, Woodbridge.  Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Lorraine's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
