Loretta "Lorie" Nyers of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away at her daughter's home on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was 76 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph and Genevieve Sadowski Antonelli, she resided in Port Reading for most of her life.

Mrs. Nyers was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading and was a longtime choir member. She was very active as volunteer with the Port Reading Saints through the years and loved her family's dogs.

Her husband, William P. Nyers, passed away in 2004.

She is survived by her daughters, Nisey Mansfield and her husband, Michael, of Port Reading and Christine Massaro and her husband, John, of Old Tappan, NJ; sons, Billy Nyers and his wife, Jackie, of Port Reading and Richie Nyers and his wife, Chris, of Manalapan; and grandchildren, Anthony, Brittany, Nick, Mikey, Justin, Jenna, Morgan, Billy and Lindsey.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
