Loretta R. Kuper passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home in Woodbridge. She was 78 years old. Born in Passaic, she has resided in Woodbridge since 1964. Mrs. Kuper was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge and belonged to the Rosary Society there. She also belonged to Catholic Daughters, Court Mercedes, Woodbridge. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Kuper, in 2006. Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia LaPlaca of Wall Township and Sandra Witzak of Woodbridge; a son, Eric Kuper, of Manasquan; two sisters, Joyce Bertone of Wellington, FL and Marcella Filipovsky of Chadwick Beach; and seven grandchildren, Charles, Joseph, Savannah, Jeremy, Sarah, Emma and Franchesca. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
