Lois Wheeler Gordon passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Father Hudson House of Center for Hope Hospice in Elizabeth. She was 78 years old. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Elizabeth before moving to Woodbridge in 1962. Mrs. Gordon was employed as office manager with J.J. Elek realty in Woodbridge for 20 years before her retirement; and was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge . She was predceased by her husband, Russell L. Gordon, Jr., in 1998; a son, Scott R. Gordon, in 2004; and her parents Frederick and Julia Flatt Wheeler. Surviving are a son, Glenn R. Gordon, of Woodbridge; a sister, Joan Leffler, of Somerset; 5 grandchildren, Bryan, Kerri and Lynne Gordon and their mother, Lori, and Daniel and Delia Gordon and their mother, Carolyn; and a great grandson, Aiden. Funeral services will be on Friday, December, 19, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Interment will follow in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
