Obituary

Linda M. Juarez Semler passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her home in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township. She was 62 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Menlo Park Terrace before moving to Iselin in 1977. Mrs. Semler was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin. Linda attended St. Cecelia's Grade School and graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1971. She attended Middlesex County College in Edison earning her Associates in Science Accounting degree. In 1983 she began her career at AT&T/Telcordia Technologies in Piscataway, where she was employed for 30 years as an Administrative Assistant She was predeceased by her parents, Frank L. Juarez and Noreen G. Kelly Juarez. Surviving are her beloved husband, Robert A. Semler; her Step-Mother, Danetta Juarez; two sisters, Noreen P. Rafalko and her husband, Julian, and Kathleen M. Malin and her husband, Jeffrey; three brothers, Francis P. Juarez and his wife, Susan, Patrick L. Juarez and his wife, Cindy, and James M. Juarez and his wife, Laurie; and many beloved precious nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces; Allison (Tim) Ballentine, Ryan, Eileen Rafalko, Valerie (Noel) Fabretti: Travis, Kyle, Derek, Shauna Juarez: Kara, Keith, Brian Malin: the late Mark Bouillion, Jason (Candis) Bouillion, Leeann (James) Noll: Jenna, Samantha, Melissa Juarez: Grand nieces Teresa and Stella Ballentine. Also survived by her mother in law, Katherine W. Semler; sister in law, Kathleen Zudjelovic; brother in laws, Ronald and Keith Semler; maternal aunt, Mary T. Carney of Brooklyn, NY and her paternal aunt, Helen Armagno, of Whitestone, NY. Linda loved family gatherings, and for many years has been involved in different forms of dance, she loved tap dancing at Verne Fowler Dance School in Colonia, she was a student and member of Arthur Murray Ballroom Dance School in Green Brook, NJ, she skated and competed in Artistic Dance Roller Skating and loved going line dancing with her sister Noreen, at the Colorado Café. Mrs. Semler was a member of the American Sewing Guild and enjoyed the monthly group meetings with sewing friends, she also loved to read, visit the library and baking. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 8:15 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Teal Tea Foundation, PO Box 6645, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 or to The Cancer Institute of NJ, 195 Little Albany Street, New Brunswick, NJ.
