Linda Bennett passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She was 64 years old.

Born in Elizabeth on April 27, 1960 to the late Mary and John Macula, she was raised in Carteret and has resided in Keansburg for the past 34 years.

Mrs. Bennett attended Middlesex College and graduated from Kean University with a bachelor's degree. She was employed as an accountant with SM Electric in Rahway for 12 years until retiring in 2020; and was previously employed with Lumiscope in Edison.

She was a communicant of Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Keansburg; and a member and treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of BPOE Elks Lodge No. 2179, Middletown.

Linda enjoyed holiday dinners with family, cruises, trips to Atlantic City and spending time with her "grand pups", Demi, Diego and Bruno; was an avid bowler with the Wednesday night league at Bowlero, Hazlet and Sunday night league at Majestic Lanes, Hopelawn. She also enjoyed crocheting blankets for family and friends and ceramics.

Surviving are her husband of 33 years, David Bennett; children, Anita Bennett of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Dotson and her husband, Chris, of East Hanover, Denise Cruz and her husband, Anthony, of Nutley and David Bennett, Jr. and his significant other, Jason, of Bloomfield; sister, Marie Fruscella and her husband, Jimmy, of Carteret; grandchildren, CJ, Ayden, Ryan, Christopher, Anthony, Annie, Penny and Enzo; nephews, Vincent Fruscella and his wife, Danielle, and Erik Fruscella and his significant other, Kim; and many other loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Carteret. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Park Cemetery, Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Woodbridge Animal Shelter (woodbridgeanimalgroup.com) in Mrs. Bennett's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
