Liam Patrick Donahue Francis Kelly passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.  He was 33 years old.

Born in Edison, he was a lifelong resident of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township.

Liam was a 2008 graduate of Colonia High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Kean University in 2015.

He was a music teacher at Perth Amboy High School, and taught private lessons both in-home and at Loria Music in Rahway.

Liam was a communicant of Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel.

Surviving are his mother, Mary Zullo Kelly, of Avenel; father, Michael Kelly, of Point Pleasant; brothers, Luke Kelly and his wife, Elissa, of Avenel and Matthew Kelly and his wife, Julie, of Red Bank; sister, Claire Celi, and her husband, Anthony, of Raritan; nephew and nieces Dylan, Everly, Hayden, Bridget and Rosemary; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including godmother, Annalynn Miele, of Edison; and beloved dogs, Forrest and Jenny.

A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a blessing at 2:45 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. After the memorial, all are welcome to attend a celebration of Liam's life from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Woodbridge Elks #2116, 665 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge, NJ food and drinks will be provided.
