Leslie J. Makar passed away on Monday, September, 17 2018 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 68 years old.

Born in Newark, she has resided in of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 35 years.

Mrs. Makar was employed as a beautician many years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Irene Shapiro Lubetkin; and sister, Janis Verkaik.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Thomas Makar; son, Shane Makar, of Woodbridge; sister, Rochelle Perillo, of Edison; and brothers, Howard Lubetkin of Wayne and Jeffrey Lubetkin of North Carolina.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.
