Leonard T. Gigantino passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Brighton Gardens of Edison.  He was 83 years old.

Born and raised in Newark, he resided in Colonia for most of his life before moving to East Hanover and then to Edison.

Mr. Gigantino was a United States Army Veteran.

He  Owned and Operated Len's Bar in Newark and On The Rocks in Sayreville and then was employed as a Health Inspector for the City of Newark, and as a courier for the Mandelbuam  Salsburg Law Firm before retiring.

Mr. Gigantino was a communicant of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Orange.

He was predeceased by his wife Janet Pescatore Gigantino; his parents, Nicholas and Frances Santora Gigantino.

Surviving are his loving children, Leonard Gigantino, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Barnegat, Linda Rezes and her husband, David, of Avenel, David Gigantino and his wife, April, of Landing and Denise Gigantino Nicol and her husband Ron of Colonia; adored grandchildren, Nicholas Petretta U.S.M.C., Giana Gigantino, David Rezes, Leonard Gigantino, III, U.S.M.C., Jessica Gigantino and Marc Rezes; his sister Nancy Taylor of Parsippany;  and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place Tuesday 10:15 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), Woodbridge with interment in Hazel Wood Cemetery, Clark.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am
