Mrs. Laraine Faytok of Avenel, N.J., 68, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway. Born in Irvington, N.J., she was graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1966 and lived in South River and Woodbridge before settling in Avenel in 1976.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, she spoiled her kids, especially in her later years. She loved cooking, trying new recipes and planning elaborate holiday dinners. She adored her granddaughter, Addison, taking her on shopping trips and teaching her how to sew and make arts and crafts.

She worked at Valassis (previously Advo) as a sales administrator for 18 years. She was actively involved with the Middlesex County Men's and Youth Bowling Associations in the 1980s and '90s.

Mrs. Faytok is survived by her husband of 45 years, George; her son, Christopher, daughter-in-law Kristen and granddaughter Addision; her son, Scott; her daughter, Wendy Herbst, and son-in-law Daniel; her mother, Ilene Onyschak; her brother, John Onyschak and his wife Kathleen; brother Richard Onyschak and his wife Dora, and brother Edwin Onyschak and his wife Joanne, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, John.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at 11:15 a.m. at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Route 1 North, Woodbridge, N.J., prior to Entombment. Arrangements are by Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
