Kenneth J. Edmonds, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Care One at the Highlands Nursing Center in Edison. He was 69 years old.

Born on December 26, 1956 in Jersey City to the late Margaret and Kenneth J. Edmonds, Sr., he was raised in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township and resided in Carteret before moving to Colonia 10 years ago.

Mr. Edmonds retired from the Woodbridge Township Board of Education as a bus driver in 2012 after 12 years of service.

He was a lifetime exempt member of Iselin Chemical Hook and Ladder Company, Fire District 11; and a longtime communicant of Saint Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Iselin, where he was confirmed and received his First Holy Communion.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a cousin, Jeffrey Hundley.

Surviving are his loving sister, Patricia Krupa and her husband, Edward, of Colonia; niece, Kirstie Krupa and her boyfriend, Ned Shaw, of Tinton Falls; nephew, Michael Krupa and his wife, Nicole, of Colonia; great nephews, Lucas and Nicholas; and cousins, Denise Mariconi and her husband, Chris, of Colonia and Keith Hundley of South Carolina.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Linden. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Iselin Chemical Hook and Ladder Company, 20 Auth Avenue, Iselin, NJ 08830 in Mr. Edmonds’ memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
