Kelley S. Nelson passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 48 years old.

Born in Cleveland, OH on September 15, 1975, he has resided in Avenel for the past 16 years.

Mr. Nelson was a graduate of the University of Richmond and employed as a business analyst with Charles Schwab and Company, formerly TD Ameritrade in Jersey City for many years.

Kelley was an avid outdoorsman with a love of animals, especially Airedales, gardening, auto crossing and, especially, paddling. He served with the National Canoe Safety Patrol on the Delaware River and was very fond of tandem canoe paddling with his beloved wife and kids.

Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Barbara Kasztan Nelson; children, Sophia and Gabriel; mother, Ann Nelson, of Toms River; father and stepmother, Steve Nelson and Elizabeth Singleton, of Arcadia, IN; and brother and sister in law, Jeff and Julia Nelson and their children, Gwen and Audra, of Plymouth, MN.

Visitation for family and friends will begin on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
