Obituary

Katherine "Kay" Quinn of Woodbridge passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at JFK Medical Center. She was 92 years old. Born in Carteret to a butcher; she and her husband built a home in Woodbridge where she resided for the past 60 years. Kay was employed in the Catalog Department at Sears Department Store in Perth Amboy for 20 years retiring in 1986. During World War II she helped the War effort as a "Rosie the Riveter" helping build Airplanes in Linden. She was thankful for her wonderful and caring family, friends, and neighbors She was predeceased by her husband Robert Walter Quinn ; a son Robert Keith Quinn; her parents Alek and Anna Rymak Gural; two sisters Olga Saakes, and Lovey Felaur; a brother Joseph Gural. She is survived by a daughter-in-law Christine Quinn; three grandchildren Alison Kornecki, Keith Quinn, and Joseph Quinn; a great grandson Shane Kornecki; and three generations of nieces and nephews. Funeral will take place Monday, September 30, 2013 10:30 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a Veterans charity of your choice
