Katherine Cincotta Ombres passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at her daughter's home in Milton, Delaware. She was 95 years old.

She was born in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township and resided there and in Woodbridge for most of her life before moving to her daughters home 3 years ago.

Mrs. Ombres was employed as a Sales Clerk with Jomac's Party Store on Main Street in Woodbridge for many years.

She was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading; and belonged to the Italian American Club of Woodbridge and the Lewes Senior Center in Lewes, DE.

Mrs. Ombres was predeceased by her husband, Angelo, in 1969; a daughter, Katherine Dunham, in 2014; a sister, Sebastiana "Bessy" Minucci; and a brother, Pasquale Russo.

Surviving are her children, Lois Nime and her husband, Dan, of Milton, DE and Joseph Ombres and his wife, Beverly, of Lanoka Harbor; her son in law, Richard Dunham, of Sewaren; sisters, Virginia Semon of South Plainfield and Lucy Frazer of Avenel; grandchildren, Cyndi Ryan, Kelly Nime, Angela Monteiro, Rick Dunham, Joe Ombres and Caitlyn Ombres; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 8:45 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
