Karin R. Burgio passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 71 years old. Born in Berlin, Germany, she resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township for many year before moving to Freehold in 2009. Mrs. Burgio was employed as an executive assistant with Engelhard Corporation in Iselin for 26 years before retiring in 2009. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Raymond Burgio; two daughters, Kristine Skros and her husband, Krzysztof, of Port Reading, Joanne Fletcher and her husband, Boyd, of Crownsville, MD; a son, Kenneth Burgio and his wife, Wendy, of Cliffwood Beach; two brothers, Martin Schade of Jersey City and Peter Schade of Pennsylvania; and five beloved grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christopher, Steven, Rachel and Zachary. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 6:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
