Karen C. Karmazin (b. 5/4/1972) departed this place on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was 49 years old. She was endearingly addressed as K.C. her entire life.

Born in Edison, she was a lifelong resident of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township.

Miss Karmazin attended Chubb Institute and was once employed as a customer service representative with Aetna Insurance Company in Iselin.

She is survived by her son, James; parents, Judith and Paul Karmazin; sister, Suzanne Golinski and her husband, Daniel; brother, Paul K. Karmazin and his fiancé, Crystal; niece, Rachel Golinski and nephew Jonathan Drown.

Karen enjoyed reading, rummaging, antiquing, oddities, muscle cars, geology, and music in the likes of Van Halen.  Playing cards of strategy with her son was a favourite pastime.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Viewing for family and friends will also be Wednesday evening beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Services will conclude by 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital ( stjude.org ) in Karen's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
