Julia P. Favale passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 91 years old.
Born in Jersey City, she resided and raised her family in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 60 years.
Mrs. Favale was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel and belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bruno Favale, in 2009; and by a brother, Guiseppe Palumbo.
Surviving are her children, Camille Favale of Avenel, Ronald Favale of Avenel and Alan Favale of Edison; two sisters, Charene Norrell of Ho-Ho-Kus and Yolanda Cirelli of Ocala, FL; a brother, John Palumbo of Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Alan, Jennifer and Nicole; and a great grandson, Logan.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Entombment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to AMVETS (support.amvets.org), 4647 Forbes Boulevard, Lanham, MD 20706.
