Judith A. Height passed away Monday July 13, 2026, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 78 Years old.

Born on February 25, 1948, in South Amboy to the late Harold and Helen Ellwinger, she was resident of Fords before moving to Avenel in 1977.

Judith worked as an Administrative Clerk with Woodbridge Township for 26 years before retiring in 2007.

Judith was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Mount Zion Chapter 116 of Rahway, VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Avenel, member of the Office of Woodbridge Emergency Management and as an amateur ham radio operator was member of the Woodbridge Radio Club.

Judith was also known to be an avid animal lover.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepdaughter Linda Lauri.

Surviving Judith is her husband George Height of Avenel; her siblings Eugene Ellwinger and Arlene “Cookie” Lewis both of Venice, FL; her grandchildren Arthur Lauri and his wife Tracy, Scott Lauri and wis wife Jennifer and Mark Lauri; her great-grandchildren Andrew, Katrina, Matthew Jared, Zachary and Alyssa; her great-great grandchild Perceus; her nieces Kathy Lewis and Kelly Tisdale; her nephew Michael Lewis; her great-niece Madison; her great-niece Grace Tisdale; her great-nephew Jordan and her best friend Dee.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday July 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will begin on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
