Juana C. Suarez passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 93 years old.

Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, she has resided in Avenel since 1952.

Mrs. Suarez was employed as an assembler at Western Electric Corporation in Kearny for 15 years before retiring in 1976.

She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Avenel Memorial Post 7164, Veterans of Foreign Wars

Her husband, Rafael Suarez, passed away in 2003.

Surviving are her children, Margarita Suarez-Cirigliano and husband Paul, Hector X. Suarez and wife Alba, and William O. Suarez and wife Dion. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Nicolas Rafael Suarez, Mariel Nicole Suarez-Strefeler and her husband Jason, Alexa Dion Suarez, and Catherine Juana Cirigliano. She was predeceased by her siblings Aida, Rafael, Domingo, and Victor; and is survived by siblings Norma, Gloria, Helga, Josian, and Carlos.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.costello-koyen.com ), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
