Juan B. Figueroa passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 79 years old.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, he resided in Woodbridge before moving to Avenel 22 years ago.

Mr. Figueroa was employed as a paint leader with General Dynamics Corporation in Avenel for 35 years before his retirement in 1999; and was a communicant of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Holy Trinity Church, Perth Amboy.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alejandrina, in 2018; and son, Johnny, in 2002.

Surviving are his daughter, Marlene Swist of Woodbridge; sister, Maria Colon, of Port Reading; and grandchildren, Michael and Eric Swist.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Funeral services will be on Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Holy Trinity Church in Perth Amboy. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
