Joyce A. Kohler passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. She was 75 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, she resided in Woodbridge for many years before moving to Allentown 22 years ago.

Joyce was a graduate of Woodbridge High School and received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Rutgers University. She was employed as a research microbiologist in infectious disease with Merck and Company for 37 years and then as a technical writer with Abbott Labs for the past 7 years.

She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge and was a member and officer of the Theobald Smith Society International, Woodbridge High School Class of 1964 Alumni, Rutgers Alumni Association and Rutgers Alumni Honor Society.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Josephine Zuboy Kohler in 1999 and Edward Kohler in 1967; and sister, Edwina Kohler, in 1997.

Surviving are her son, Edward Kohler and his wife, Jeannette, of Allentown; and grandsons, Jake and Sam Kohler.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made out to Saint Gregory the Great, Knights of Columbus Council 7677, and sent care of Michael Frank, 1019 Estates Boulevard, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690 in Joyce's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
