Joyce Hyacinth Dacres passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at her home in Linden, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, she has resided in the City of Linden since 1998. Mrs. Dacres was employed as a school bus matron with Dapper Bus Company in Iselin for several years before her retirement. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Avenel. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Valair Dacres, in 2008. Surviving are her children, Claudette Harris of Hampton, Ga, Peter, Roger, and John Dacres of Linden, two sisters, Eleanor Broomfield of Brooklyn, NY and Cecil Ramtallie of Kingston, Jamaica; ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, 505 Wylie Street, Avenel under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), Avenel. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the church.
