Obituary

Josephine Zacker passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2013 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born on November 2, 1917 and raised in New York City. Josephine moved to Iselin in 1945 with her husband, Frank Zacker. Josephine retired from Gulton industries in Metuchen in 1981 where she was a parts assembler. She attended JFK Adult Medical Day Program two days a week in Edison, where she spent many happy hours; and was an "Honorary Member" of the Most Holy Rosary Senior Citizens in Hopelawn. She enjoyed senior trips, playing cards, bingo and classic movies. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Frank; two sisters, Dorothy Liquori and Marie Ruggerio. She is survived by her son, Dennis, of Iselin; two nieces Arlene and Maureen Liquori; and three nephews Anthony and Dennis Liquori and Wayne Ruggerio. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church, Iselin. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
