Josephine E. Royce passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Whiting Gardens Nursing Center, Manchester Township. She was 84 years old.

Born in Glen Ridge on May 14, 1940 to the late Dorothea and Joseph Davis, she resided in Perth Amboy before moving to Woodbridge.

Mrs. Royce was a member of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy; involved with the Learning Disabilities Association of America; and coordinated family care with the Perth Amboy Drug and Alcohol Board.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Royce was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Royce, in 1991.

Surviving are her children, James David Jetters of Tuckerton, Irene Powers of Hopelawn, George Jetters, Jr. of Woodbridge, Tina Marie Jetters of Browns Mills, Raymond E. Royce, Jr. of Burlington and Patrick M. Royce of Aberdeen; 19 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2024 5:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
