Josephine Leone Lavender passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016 at her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 92 years old.

Born in Jersey City, she has resided in Avenel for 15 years.

Mrs. Lavender was employed by RCA Corporation in Hackensack for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Lavender, in 1993; and by a daughter, Eileen Vukusich, in 2015.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Chung, of Honolulu, HI; a sister, Eileen Martin, of Avenel; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A committal service will take place on Wednesday, November 16, August 27, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover Township. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ.
