Josephine Distelcamp passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Arbors Care Center, Manchester Township. She was 92 years old. Born in Phillipsburg, she resided in Woodbridge before moving to Lanoka Harbor 8 years ago. Mrs. Distelcamp worked as a nurse for many years at Saint Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick as well as working as a private duty nurse. She was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge; and belonged to Saint James Altar-Rosary Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 4410, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Woodbridge. Mrs. Distelcamp was predeceased by her husband, William P. Distelcamp, Jr., in 1986; and by nine brothers and sisters. Surviving are three sons, William Distelcamp and his wife, Mary, of Toms River, Robert Distelcamp and his wife, Joyce, of Lanoka Harbor and Ronald Distelcamp and his wife, Laura, of Silver Spring, MD; 8 grandchildren: and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
