Josephine Coniglio of South Plainfield passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at home. She was 92 years old. Born in Jersey City; She resided in Colonia and Port Reading most of her life before moving to South Plainfield three years ago. Mrs. Coniglio was a communicant of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Port Reading. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Coniglio who passed away in 1999; and her parents Richard and Catherine Scalina Imbriglio; three sisters Loretta Sardella, Marie Fraraccio, and Phyllis Ciniello; a brother Carl Imbriglio. She is survived by two daughters Janet Linnus and her husband Frank of Belle Mead, and Catherine Abate and her Husband Wayne of Woodbridge; a son Salvatore Coniglio and his wife Midge of South Plainfield; two sisters Angelina Peer of Westfield and Ann Boland of Hamilton; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral will take place Friday 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will follow at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 436 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading. Entombment will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
