Joseph S. Minucci passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the NJ Veterans Home at Menlo Park in Edison. He was 90 years old. Born in Port Reading, he resided in Woodbridge for most of his life. Mr. Minucci was employed as a lab technician with the Environmental Protection Agency in Edison for 20 years before retiring in 1982. He had previously worked as an inspector at the former Raritan Arsenal, also in Edison. He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge, a United States Army veteran of World War II and belonged to Post 2314, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Carteret and Don Bosco Council 5809, Knights of Columbus, Port Reading. Mr. Minucci was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Notaro Minucci, in 1989; his parents, Maria and Fiore Minucci; two sisters, Antoinette Simeone and Margaret Ragucci; and three brothers, Neil, Samuel and Carmen Minucci. Surviving are his son, Joseph A. Minucci and his wife, Patricia, of Bayville; two grandsons, Joseph Brandao of Sewaren and Matthew Minucci of Bayville; a niece, Marie Gould, of Woodbridge; and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
