Joseph Rotili passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at The New Jersey Veterans Home at Menlo Park in Edison. He was 92 years old.

Born in Port Reading, NJ, He resided in the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township most of his life before residing in Colonia and Carteret for the past 40 years.

Mr. Rotili was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was employed as a sheet metal worker with Sheet Metal Workers Local #22 in Cranford for many years before retiring.

Mr. Rotili was a member of The Port Reading Fire Company and served  as Chief in 1969, He was a former fire Commisioner with Port Reading Fire District #2; he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Sheedy Rotili who passed away in 2016; his parents Attilio and Maria Virgili Rotili; 2 brothers John Rotili and Louis Rotili.

Surviving are ; two daughters, Ellen Bradley and her husband Steve of Carteret and Tracy DeNorio and her husband Albert  of Egg Harbor Township; a son, John Sheedy and his wife Deborah, of Colonia; two sisters Ann Pastor of Arizona and Jean Cheddar of Port Reading; four grandchildren, Shannon Cox, Steven Bradley, Jr., Jennifer Sheedy and Jaclyn Otero; and a great granddaughter, Charlotte Cox.

A funeral service will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 1:00 pm at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
