Joseph Riccardi passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. He was 84 years old. He was born in Jersey City and resided in Sewaren for the past 13 years. Mr. Riccardi owned and operated Knight's Auto Body in Jersey City for many years. He was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading, served as captian in the National Guard and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and many other clubs and organizations. In recent years Joe especially enjoyed the company of his feline friend, Maxie. Surviving are his loving wife, Grace Perrella Riccardi; seven children, Melissa Beards, Joseph Riccardi, Gina Fiadini, Sal Micele, Karen Callahan, Vincent Micele and Lisa Violante; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org), 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Joe's name will be greatly appreciated.
