Joseph A. "Dundee" Nagy of Woodbridge passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 87 years old.

Born in Woodbridge, he was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Nagy was employed with the Garden State Parkway for 20 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a 1947 graduate of Woodbridge High School; and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Joe was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Woodbridge and was a member of Star Landing Post 2341, V.F.W., Carteret, Woodbridge P.B.A. Local #38 and the Pop's Place Dinner Club.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph A. Nagy, Sr. and Elizabeth Keleman Nagy; a brother William Nagy; and two brother in laws, Raymond Krushenski and Frank Hlavenka, Sr.

He is survived by two sisters Margaret Hlavenka of Edison and Mary Krushenski of Oak Ridge, TN; nieces and nephews, Karen De Zaio, who cared for him dearly, Judy Torcivia, Michelle Murawski, Kenneth Krushenski, Frank Hlavenka, Jr., Larry Hlavenka and Mark Hlavenka; and many great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 6, 2016 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for a new furnace, c/o Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 436 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064.
