Joseph P. Kilpatrick passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. He was 79 years old.

Born in Dunmore, PA, he resided in Colonia for many years before moving to Inverness, FL 16 years ago.

Mr. Kilpatrick was employed as a wire mechanic with Western Electric, later Bell Labs, in Murray Hill for 32 years before retiring in 1997.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marilyn Kilpatrick. Beloved father of, Kelly Kilpatrick Hardy and her husband Todd of Avenel, Joseph Kilpatrick Jr and his wife Ellen of West Orange, Kevin Kilpatrick and his wife Melanie of Glenside PA; his 2 grandchildren Lily Rose and Jack Philipp; his brothers Walter Kilpatrick of Clark, Daniel Kilpatrick of Rotunda West FL, and Garry Kilpatrick of Edison. He is predeceased by his brothers John Kilpatrick, James Kilpatrick, Kevin Kilpatrick, and sister Katherine Glavas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Andrew Roman Catholic Church at 11a.m. Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ.
